Vlieger, ca. 1885. 6 vols., each containing 2 or 3 stories, with a total of 17. Chromolithogr. ills., printed by S. Lankhout & Co., printed on one side only. Orig. unif. lithogr. wr. 8vo. Spines worn, some bookblocks loose, foxing, but overall in remarkably good condition. Rühle 262d and cf. 224, dating the series around 1900. The Dutch version of the 'original' Struwwelpeter stories consists of 17 stories, 10 after/ by H. Hoffmann and 7 newly invented stories by W.P. Razoux. Rühle mentions only the first work (Rühle 262d) in this lot and one other part of the series (De wilde jager). Extremely rare complete set of this Vlieger Struwwelpeter series. Added: 4 other Struwwelpeter works, Paulientje met de zwavelstokjes (Vlieger), Onbezonnen Kaatje, Griet de Smeerpoes and Pietjes Ongeluks Week. Signs of age/ wear.
