Covers sl. worn, (mostly) marginal foxing, but engravings themselves in excellent condition, strong impressions. Famous and splendid suite of large and detailed Gospel illustrations by the Wierix brothers (and some by J. & A. Collaert and C. Mallery) with a short commentary by the Spanish Jesuit Nadal (1507-1580). A wonderful example of the masterful Flemish book illustration at the end of the 16th century.
