1706-1870, English, French and Dutch language, var. sizes. Comprises a.o.: (1) Paper bifolium bond for 4000 pounds to be paid to Sir Edmund Thomas and Henry Bathurst by James Scawen, dated 11 March 1766, w. tax blindstamp and the signature and seal of Scawen. (2) Indenture on vellum, dated 10 Nov. 1806, a release of equity of redemption of Martha English (Brighthelmstone) to Martha Hogsflesh (Worthing), w. the signature and wax seal of English in lower margin. (3) Manuscript bifolium, critically reflecting on the so-called "Sacramentsdag" in Liege, based on the early 13th cent. visions of Juliana of the Augustine monastery of Mont Cornillon, 3 pages, early 19th cent.
