Original work, consisting of 10 envelopes from 1983, mailed to the artist, stapled together between two sheets, 12 x 23 cm. Signed, stamped and titled in blue and orange marker on the cover sheet. Among the senders are Marcello Innocenti from Arte Contemporanea in Florence, the Schweizer Mustermesse in Basel, Bruno Charlone from the Archivio Storico in Dego Italy, and the Art Now Bookshop and Video Cafe from Mannheim.
The piece was sent by Groh to Dutch collector Tjeerd Deelstra, together with a handwritten and elaborately stamped letter, an artists’ biography, and a self-published booklet titled ‘Klaus Groh Installationen’, 20.5 x 14.5 cm, 16 pp. featuring photocopied drawings and text, 1983. Klaus Groh (1936-) is a German artist, musician and publisher, prominent member of the Mail Art movement and founder of the International Artists’ Cooperation (1969 -1990). (total 4)
