Consisting of a large original design, letters, notebook leaves, typescript copies of press reviews, (annotated) newspaper and magazine clippings, etc. (1) Original design is a large fold. sheet w. pencil drawing depicting the National Savings Birthday Calendar. (2) The press reviews (of a.o. Gitje en Witje (1932), Het Groote Negerboek (1932), Speksnoetjes Avonturen and Pippity Pop, 1937-1938) were apparently copied by Schermelé himself and also translated in English, most w. his name and address in upper corners.
