India ink, early 1950s. Strips 17, 18 and 19, without text. Stamps on verso 'Please, return the original drawings as soon as possible in undamaged condition!' and 'Marten Toonder Studio's Reugliersdwarsstr. 9 Amsterdam-C Telefoon 35867' Early 1950s. Each 14 x 52.5 cm.

*Although the comic strip was drawn by Piet Wijn, these are not. Sometimes Wijn would miss a couple of weeks due to illness or holiday, but weekly production had to go on and a colleague would take over. In his biography on Wijn, Oliver Sterk mistakenly credits Henk Alleman as stand-in for the work. It was actually his Toonder colleague Gerrit Stapel. (total 3)
