Plans and views of Amsterdam, lot of nineteen engravings

All but a few 18th cent., var. sizes. Comprises a.o.: (1) A view of the New Boat Sluices in Amstel. Veuë des Nouvelles Ecluses a Bateaux a Amstel. Handcol. engr. view in optica style, 19 x 23.5 cm, by F. Patton, ca. 1745. Sl. yellowed in margins from former passepartout, 2 sm. repaired marginal tears. Very rare view, only one other copy traced (Leiden University, dating the print to 1745). (2) An accurate View of Amsterdam, the Capital of the Dutch Netherlands. Handcol. engr. profile by Lodge, from Hogg/ Millar, New Complete & Universal System of Geography, London 1783. Left margin restored. (3) Afbeeldinge van den Brand des Amsterdamschen Schouwburgs den 11 May 1772. Engr. view, 23 x 30.5 cm, by and after C.F. Fritzsch, publ. by G. Bom. F.M. 4255. (4) Porte d'Asterdam, allant à Utrecht. Engr. view, 21 x 29.5 cm, after J.J. Delorme, publ. in Paris by F. Basan, ca. 1750. Mounted at upper margin.
