Toonder, M. Tom Poes in 't land van de blikken mannen

De Courant Het Nieuws van den Dag, 1944. First presented to the winners of the neighbourhood championships in Amsterdam, copies (without 'gelegenheidspagina') were distributed without Toonder's consent. A settlement followed. Matla, 1998 states that it is likely most copies were destroyed, as they are quite rare. This particular copy is unique: It has been signed by Marten Toonder on the title page (subscript by Matla in pencil: Hotel de l'Europe, Amsterdam, 28 april 1999).
