Spine ends and outer corners show some wear/ sl. dam., upper joint vol. 1 split, some faint marginal damp stains, but a very fine, complete and clean set w. crisp plates. Richard Pococke (1704-1765) was an English prelate and anthropologist. From 1737-1741 he visited the Near East, traveling to Egypt, ascending the Nile as far as Philae, and then passed into Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Asia Minor and Greece.
