Ca. 1982. Series of six handcoloured gelatin silver prints. Each signed 'Jan Saudek' in lower right corner; on the edges: '#270/[I - VI] >> Story of Flowers << [...] model print - Finished October [date], 1892' as well as numeric notations in pencil verso. All approx. 24 x 19.5 cm.

Fine condition. In his homeland of Czechoslovakia, Saudek was viewed as a controversial artist and faced oppression from the authorities. Due to censorship, he often dated his works a century earlier than their actual creation.
