Incomplete set, lacking several parts, a number of individual duplicate parts lacking engr. (title) pages. The very fine convolute that contains parts 10-15 (bound in overlapping vellum) supplied w. manuscript indexes to each part. Sold w.a.f., not subject to return. Even loose parts or partial convolutes of this series are rare, but large sets such as the present one is extremely rare. Half-yearly account by the Dutch physician Nicolaes Janszoon van Wassenaer (ca. 1570-ca. 1630) (continued by B. Lampe until 1635), of incomparable importance to the history of America, the West Indies & Brazil, partly being the first printed reports of these countries.
