Both works foxed/ browned, joints splitting but holding on cords, top of spine dam. and outer corners bumped. Still an acceptable copy w. ample margins (partly untrimmed). Dutch translations of the London editions of 1713 and 1714. 'Although works of natural theology such as these seem tedious in style, they do give a useful glimpse of the background of eighteenth-century science in England' (DSB IV, p. 40 f.).
