[Aviation] Photo album, 'First Flight, Bankers Reserve Life Co., 1929, Sept. 28 - 1929 Omaha to Yankton So Dak'
Unique, handcrafted album (38 x 30 cm), with the title rendered on the front cover. Contains 5 mounted b/w photographs of the Travel Air Model C-4000 w. the two pilots, 19 x 24 cm.
An interesting album featuring two pilots alongside their Travel Air Model C-4000, either before or after their journey from Omaha, Nebraska to Yankton, South Dakota. The plane was presumably owned by the Bankers Reserve Life Company, later called Farm Credit. The Travel Air 4000 was a 1920s general purpose biplane. According to the United States Civil Aircraft Register, the plane w. number NC9824 was registered to one Rory A. Grangruth.
