Roland Topor, Panic: The Golden Years. Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum, 1975
Album with double sleeves, 31 x 31 cm, containing a 33 rpm vinyl record and 14 loosely inserted printed documents pertaining to the show, such as an exhibition list, biblio and biography, b/w images, and texts. Produced in conjunction with a show of drawings and graphics at the Stedelijk Museum, in collaboration with Freddy de Vree and Ad Petersen. Designed by Wim Crouwel and the artist.
Roland Topor (1938 - 1997) was a French illustrator, painter, writer, filmmaker and actor who generally made surrealistic and absurd works. The record reflects his humorous attitude, with Topor making strange sounds in French and Dutch. Good copy, including the often-missing inserts.
