Interesting piece of literary history relating to Redouté's most famous work, which was published in installments between 1817 and 1824. The Parisian booksellers Jean-Jacques Debure and his younger brother Marie-Jacques Debure were booksellers of the king and of the king's library from 1821 to 1830.
