Schnitzler published work in de Telegraaf, De Groene Amsterdammer, het Utrechts Nieuwsblad and Ons Eigen Tijdschrift (published by Van Houten chocolate); she also illustrated picture postcards.She was forced to cease working during World War II due to her Jewish heritage, and tragically, her parents were killed in one of the concentration camps.
