P.C. Wijn (1929-2010) De Verliefde Jonker

Large Indian ink drawing, published in the Groot Tina Winterboek. Signed lower right. 31x23 cm. mounted in frame.

*The buyer of this original visited Piet Wijn in 1996. Whilst sealing the deal Wijn noticed a small coffee stain in the upper left corner. The buyer did not mind, but Wijn did and proposed keeping it for a while. He would send it by mail a week later. It turned out he had thought of an elegant solution: a tree was skillfully added which caused the stain to be hidden in the dark parts of the tree.
