[Japan. Cloisonné] (1) Smoking set

Consisting of a tray (20 x 24 cm), two cups, a match-holder and a tiny oval tray, all made from copper and very intricately decorated in cloisonné in var. colours and gold glitters on a brown base, Japan, early 20th cent. The larger tray shows sm. dam. spot on the green paint of the lower side at the bottom. A fine example of Japanese cloisonné craftsmanship. -and a Japanese copper cloisonné plate, Ø 32.5 cm, decorated in var. colours. Added: a Chinese copper cloisonné plate, Ø 21.5 cm, decorated in gold on a brown base.
