[Genealogy and heraldry] "Ih. van Geer: Pn. Everaaers. Vereenigd te Rotterdam den 21 Augustus 1740."

Two coats of arms within joint rich ornamental border, painted w. much use of gold on oak panel w. bevelled edges, 25.5 x 20 cm. Paint damaged (esp. at top side), lacking a number of sm. pieces.

A very nice and rare original heraldic statement, of the marriage of Johannes van Geer and Petronella Everaars. According to information in the Stadsarchief Rotterdam they betrothed on 4 August 1740 and indeed married on 21 August 1740.
