Bierens de Haan 1836; not in Hoover or Kress. Rare guide for calculating the value of gold and silver of any purity. The assayer Grill first published his tables exclusively for gold in 1715, also sold by Van Eyl. Our completer work on gold and silver probably followed soon after. The author states that at the time of this publication, the market was flooded with low grade gold and silver, a problem inadequately addressed in earlier guides .
