Belgium, ca. 1835. Both covers w. central silver ornament, gilt border and attached silver fleurons around sides, silver borders around edges and 2 large silver clasps and catches, gilt spine w. mor. letterpiece, a.e.g., 15.5 x 10 x 3.5 cm. One of the catches hallmarked "PF", one of the clasps w. owner's initials "M.I.E." engr. on the inside. According to an extensive annotation in pen on first blank, the book was given to "mij A.M. Coleta Windmolders" by M.J. Esselen" in 1845, also mentioning pastor Stregnard of the "H. Lorentius te Cosen, Bisdom van Luik". On: Hemelsch Palmhof, Mechelen, P.J. Haniq, ca. 1835. -and 1 other binding w. silver clasps and catches.
