Drawing in var. techniques (mainly pen and ink and watercolour), 22 x 43 cm, w. signature "Max Ernst '39" in lower right corner. Framed under passe-partout.

*Upon examination outside the frame: the drawing's paper sheet is mounted behind the passepartout w. glue and sellotape, a portion of the lower margin of the sheet is lacking. A very intriguing and also very strong drawing, considering the paper undoubtedly dates from around 1939, but dismissed as being a drawing by Ernst himself by a curator at the Max Ernst Museum in Brühl.
