The Hague, printed by Daniel Monnier for Pieter Gosse Jr. and Nicolaes van Daalen, 1755, 40 textp. and 41 double-p. engr. plates, contemp. panelled, gilt and polished marbled/ speckled calf ("mirror-binding"). Ribbed and gilt spine w. mor. letterpiece, large folio. Some (finger)soiling and foxing, marg. waterstaining and closed tears. The fine binding neatly rebacked, outer corners of covers bumped and other minor traces of age. Overall, an attractive copy, w. ample margins.
