[Album amicorum] Album with 33 contributions dated 1834-1839

The album contains 8 drawings, mixed techniques (one by O.P. Bennewitz*), 5 embroideries (4 flowers and 1 butterfly), 14 handwritten poems and 4 other artistic crafts, w. approx. 50 unused sheets. In wooden, black lacquered box, top decorated w. emblem depicting Apollo in a chariot pulled by two griffons, w. two silk adorned flaps inside. Dimensions: 17 x 4 x 9 cm.

One side of box chafed, lock removed, top reattached. Contents in fine condition. *Otto Pieter Bennewitz (1820-1879) was a painter and decorative artist (of interiors), and additionally the mayor of Scherpenzeel and later of Zelhem.
