Punto. International Art Movement Exhibition, Taipei, 1963

Staple bound, 26.2 x 19.2 cm, 12 pp. Text in Chinese and English. Catalogue for the exhibition held at the National Taiwan Arts Hall in Taipei from July 28 to August 6 1963. With loosely inserted original b/w photo portrait of Armando, standing in front of a banner 'Punto International Art Movement Exhibition', 6 x 8 cm. Written on verso: 'Mr. Armando (plus chinese signs) 1963.7.28 China'.

In 1961 Hsiao Chin founded the international art group Punto in Milan, with European (mostly Italian) and Japanese avant-garde artists as members, many with Zero inspired orientation. Punto was active throughout the 1960s, organizing thirteen exhibitions. The exhibition in Taipei included Armando, Kengiro Azuma, Antonio Calderara, Castellani, Li Yuen Chia, Hsiao Chin, Lucio Fontana, Getulio, Henk Peeters, Pia Pizzo and Ettore Sottsass. This booklet derives from one of the Punto participants, i.e. Dutch Zero artist Henk Peeters. Mild spotting on cover, staples starting to rust, generally in very good condition. Amazing and scarce booklet, no listings found.
