(almost all full-page, some monogrammed "CVS" in the block), late 19th cent. marbl. wr., sm. 8vo. Lacks leaf A8 (p. 15-16), occas. cut short in outer margin.

That his woodcuts, which are all cut without crosshatching , tend to run to smaller, more intimate formats, is perhaps only an outward criterion of the son's more bookish inclinations." The title woodcut for this edition was also used by Paets for Coornhert's ed. of Boetius (Amst.,1616) and 't Schat der Zielen" (Amst. ,1648), both titles depicted in Lehmann-Haupt (p. 50 and 63).
