Compilation of poems, performance instructions and ceremonial sketches by Milan Knizak and the Prague- based group Aktual, covering the years 1965-1971. Incl. photographs by Zdena Zizkova, Peter Moore, Jan Maria Mach, Milan Knizak et al. Aktual was co-founded by Knizak with Jan Mach, Vit Mach, Sonia Svecova, Jan Trilek and Robert Wittmann. The group staged a wide range of participatory actions - Ceremonies and Demonstrations - encompassing mail art and musical events aimed at dissolving the boundary between art and everyday life. Regarded as a dissident, Knizak was under constant surveillance and was arrested by the Czech communist regime in February 1973 on charges of promoting anti-socialist and pornographic content.
