Allan Kaprow. Routine, Air condition and Warm-Ups, 1975

Three artists' books: (1) Air condition. NP (Valencia, CA), Self-Published, 1975. Staple bound, 28 x 21.5 cm, 8 pp. Instructive text by Kaprow and photographic images by Alvin Comiter. The photographs show Kaprow running, sweating and using saliva to cool his body down. The 'privacy piece' was carried out in the hills around the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, in October 1973.

(2) Warm-Ups. Cambridge MA, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1975. Staple bound, 28 x 21.5 cm, 8 pp. Text and photographic images of a 1975 performance in Boston, which involved staging bodily contact between strangers. (3) Routine. NP (Valencia, CA), Self-Published, 1975. Staple bound, 28 x 21.5 cm, 8 pp. Texts interspersed with photographic images of five 'activities' executed in December 1973. All items with mild age patination on covers, interior very good. (total 3)
