Marinus Boezem. Weather map and Wind-scale, 1968
(1) Weather map, Thursday, September 26, 1968. Folded sheet, colour offset printed both sides, 33.5 x 24.5 cm. Official weather chart of the Dutch Royal Meteorological Institute. Boezem added his signature and stamp to the weather chart, and mailed them to members of the international art community. In Art & Project bulletin No.29 (1970) Boezem stated he mailed the map to 'thousands of people', a claim likely exaggerated.
The image of the Weather Map was used on the cover of the legendary exhibition 'Op Losse Schroeven', which took place at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam in 1969. Very good copy. (2) Windschaal (Wind scale), 1968. Stencil print, 31 x 21.5 cm. Edition unknown. Signed in print. The work was included in 'Op Losse Schroeven'. (total 2)
