Four paperboard slipcases, holding 30 staple-bound booklets, 23 x 18 cm, 22 - 48 pp. Each issue consists of an interview with an individual artist, conducted by Robin White (Vol I-III), and Constance Lewallen, Margarete Roeder and Wendy Diamond (Vol. IV). The seminal series was published in eight volumes from 1978 to 1994.
