[Icons] Voskrenie Hristovo or Anastasis

The descent into hell, Christian resurrection and other last judgment scenes. Icon, tempera on panel, 32.5 x 26 cm, Russia, 18th cent., w. silver basma w. hallmark 1770 above the initials of the assayer "C.P." (Spiridon Rukashvinov) and the city mark of Kazan in the top edge and in the bottom edge and (vaguely) at the sides (also 1 unidentified hallmark). Two pieces of wood formerly inlaid in the back of the panel were removed, the basma was probably added later (altered to fit this panel). W. some other sm. defects/ signs of age.
