Tom Poes en het geheim van de Blikken Mannen
Presentation copy with imprints and offprint Toonder Studios, ca. 1948.
* Toonder cartoons were very popular in the 1940s. The Toonder Studios had at least 100 regular studio employees and the company grew explosively. This was not just because of quality, but also due to an acquisition-oriented policy by representatives like Anton de Zwaan. He travelled all over the world to present Toonder comics to newspapers. He almost always carried a case with promotional material such as brochures and booklets, which he left behind or sent to publishers interested in the comics. This is one of those copies.
