Late 16th/ first half 17th cent. Large series, numb. in pen 2-127 and 132 and 134 (crossed-out, many mispaginations, 88 double and skipping 99), bound in later hcalf, 4to size. Plate 3 incomplete, plate 11 w. large tear, first leaf and final 2 lvs frayed/ w. tears in blank margins. Second half of the vol. waterst. in upper blank margin, occas. other stains and soiling, several old annots. in pen. Binding a bit worn along extremities. Sold as a collection of prints, not subject to return.

Large collection of beautifully engraved portraits, mostly by Thomas de Leu (1555-1611, approx. 50 portraits), or Balt. Moncornet (1598-1668, "excud.", ca. 60 portraits), a few by Anna van Bouckel, I. le Clerc, M. Tavernier, etc.
