[Haarlem] Seven placards 1634-1691

Var. publishers in Haarlem, all but one w. coat of arms of Haarlem in upper margin, var. folio sizes. All w. folds, some w. minor tears/ sm. areas of loss, one fully mounted, one w. closed tears on folds, minor other imperfections. Comprising a.o. a ban on the felling or otherwise damaging of trees of all sizes in the "Harlemmer Bosch, of elders binnen Haerlem" (1634); regulations obliging sellers of "booter, kaas, eyeren, hoenderen ende dierghelijcken" to sell their goods on the "Manendach" market, indicating the exact streets where sales are permitted (1640); a ban on the illegal disposure of manure and waste outside the city gates (1640); prohibition on misconduct of "dienst-boden, dienst-maeghden, jonck-wijfs, ende dienaers" (1640) and regulations on cloth trade. Added: one placard issued in Amsterdam (1776).
