[Paper theatres] Lot of fifteen late 18th/ early 19th cent. shaped orig. drawings

of background pieces and wings. All contemporary, mounted on thick paper for use in paper theatres. W. occas. defects/ signs of age. Comprising: (1) perspectival view of an interior of a room w. dancers, musicians, cardplayers and drinking people. Drawing in col. gouache and grisaille in optica style, 27.2 x 37.7 cm, ca. 1800. "No. 5" in grey ink in upper left corner, very lively scene. (2) Interior of a monumental building with visitors. Drawing in col. gouache and grisaille, 26.8 x 29.3 cm. (3) Arabic men sitting in front of a tent, smoking pipes, shaped background piece, col. gouache and grisaille, 22.3 x 31 cm.
