Silver lapel badge w. crowned circular portrait of King Willem III, length 11 cm. Hallmarked on the pin, w. silk Dutch flag attached. Very - if not extremely - rare lapel insignia. Issued on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the kingship of Willem III of the Netherlands, when the king made a tour through The Hague, escorted by a guard of honour consisting of noblemen on horseback. -and 9 (silver) others: the medal "Voor trouwe dienst, Koninklijke Marine" and the medal "Voor Krijgsverrigtingen" (both w. 3 attached metal clips for presence in Atjeh 1873-1905); a medal "Voor trouwen dienst"; 2 so-called "Jeneverkruizen" (Langdurige Dienst als Officier) and smaller versions of the mentioned medals.
