[Religion] Eleven various items: (1) "Dispenning", churches of St. Anna and H. Kruis, Bruges, 1668
Pewter token, Ø 4.1 cm, recto w. image of Mary and Child opposite St. Anne, the letters M.M. (Maria Mater) between them and date 1668 above them, on verso the gothic letters IHS within halo. W. crack and sm. hole. Produced on occasion of the division of the churches of the Holy Cross and that of St. Anna into separate parishes. (2) St. George token. Silver, Ø 3.7 cm, weight ca. 15 gr., recto w. image of St. George killing the dragon topped by the text S. Georgius Equitum Patronus, verso w. image of a sailing vessel topped by the text "In tempestate securitas". Traces of a suspension-ring at the top. Nice example of a religious traveller's talisman or sailor's charm. -and 9 miscell. others, incl. an intriguing insignia composed of a crowned silver medal w. attached ribbon w. date "1873-1923" and a "jeton" of the church of St. Jean en Grèves, François de Raisse.
