The top and bottom With reproductions of Duchamp's 'mental' Chess Board on the top and bottom. Housed in a black paper slipcase. Published in a limited edition of 850, this one numbered 115.
The box is complete with the following items: (1) Colophon brochure with contents list. (2) Portfolio with reproductions of works by Duchamp, with list of contents, including a copy of H. Vuibert 'Les Anaglyphes géométriques' (with 3D glasses), a reproduction of a page from The Blind Man No.2, and a postcard portraying Marcel Duchamp at the age of eighty-five. (3) Book with articles on Duchamp by André Breton and Arturo Schwarz, with inserted reproduction of Le Grand Verre. (4) Audiocassette featuring an interview and reading by Duchamp, with a miniature silicon reproduction of 'Priere a Toucher' mounted on the cassette case. (5) Giant leporello exhibition list cum catalogue. Moderate spotting and fading to the black slipcase, exterior of the wooden chess case features some brown spotting, the silicon breast (Priere a Toucher) has been leaking - a common issue with this multiple - causing a faint stain on the bellyband of the leporello catalogue. Other items in very good condition.
