Modernist urban prose poems, written mainly during Erens and Israëls’ nocturnal visits to the Zeedijk and its surroundings around 1890. A fragile production and one of the highpoints of 1890s Dutch book design. In fair to good condition; slightly worn and partly loosening.

Prose poems and sketches by Frans Erens’ brother, comprising texts set in Limburg as well as mystical and symbolist-inspired writings (among them Annunciatie, Een extase, and Fantasie). Also includes Morphine, a prose poem on a drug-induced experience — a rare subject in Dutch literature around 1900.
