Italian artist Bonalumi (1935 - 2013) was a part of the Post-War avant-garde movement, associated with the ZERO movement and artists such as Piero Manzoni, Enrico Castellani and Lucio Fontana. He is best known for his shaped, vinyl-coated monochromatic canvases - which he called 'extroflections' - in which the object expands outward into space under physical tension.
