Museum Haus Lange Ringbuch Nos. 2-9. Near complete set 1970-1976
Museum Haus Lange in Krefeld produced a signature catalogue series, a loose-leaf collection that could be stored in their specially designed ring binders (a total of nine issued between 1969 and 1976). This rare set comprises 8 volumes, lacking only the first issue. Comprises coloured plastic ringbinders, 31 x 25 cm, containing loose leaves with punched ring holes, mostly printed b/w, some in colour, on various paper stock. Each year, the museum produced between three to five Ringbuch catalogues consisting of announcement sheets, exhibition information, artists' texts and sketches, photo documentation, reproductions of works, press clippings, as well as blank sheets for notes. These were available through subscription, purchased individually at the museum or through some specialized artbook stores/galleries. This set originates from the private collection of renowned Dutch designer Benno Premsela. Included is an invoice from Art & Project Amsterdam for the sale of the 1970 supplement of Jan Dibbets. It is hard to ascertain whether the inserts are complete, but all major and most desirable issues are present.
