Luciano Fabro. Ogni ordine è contemporaneo d'ogni altro ordine: Quattro modi
d' esaminare la facciata del SS. Redentore a Venezia (1972-3). Genoa, Luciano Fabro and Alfredo and Enrico Rossi, 1973. Portfolio containing 59 bound silkscreens on thick white paper, housed in grey cardboard slipcase, 91.5 x 71 x 4 cm. Edition of 120 signed and numbered copies. Signed and dedicated by Fabro to Wim Beeren on the first page in blue ink, numbered 79/120 on the final sheet, and signed by the artist and the printers Alfredo and Enrico Rossi (1973).
The work (Every order is contemporaneous of every other order: Four ways of examining the facade of the SS Redentore in Venice) features screenprinted line drawings of the facade of the Venetian Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, realised in four compositonal sequences, with three proportional variations devised by Fabro. First sheet with age rubbing and small tear to lower left corner; initial sheets show some paper toning, slipcase worn at flaps, generally a fine copy. Oversized and heavy portfolio. Beeren (1928 -2000) curated several landmark exhibitions such as 'Op losse schroeven' (1969) and Sonsbeek 71. He worked with Luciano Fabro on several occasions, as director of the Boijmans van Beuningen (1978 - 1985) and the Stedelijk Museum (1985 to 1993).
