With annotation in pencil on half-title: "Door Achterberg eigenhandig [in pencil] voor zijn bundel "Cryptogamen IV" [= III] bewerkt en gecorrigeerd ex." The page numbers of the poems in Cryptogamen III are added in lower margin and in the index. The corrections were indeed implemented in Cryptogamen III; the largest adaptation is the poem "Risico" (p. 47), marked "Vervalt" in pen and annotated "Zie bijlage" in pencil. In Cryptogamen III, the poem appears in completely revised and extended version (p. 210). (2) Cryptogamen III. Eurydice, Limiet, Energie, Existentie, Zestien, Hoonte, Doornroosje, En Jezus schreeft in 't zand. Amst., E. Querido, 1954, no. 12 of 1200 numb. copies, 293,(6) p. Orig. cl. w. dustwr. (imperfections). With signed dedication on first free endpaper: "Aan Dr. P.J. Meertens van [signed] Leusden voorjaar 1955". -and one other, the second edition of Eurydice, 1946, w. the same annotation in pencil as in Hoonte, but w. only a few annots. in pencil at the end.
