Keesing, Isidore (1876-1943). Small archive, ex collection Paul Peter Henri Huf (1891-1961)

With as most important part a collection of 16 poems and 1 letter in pen by Keesing sent to Huf for reviewing, partly dated (Laren), Jan. 1941 - Febr. 1942, var. sizes. Also containing handwritten letters and postcards to Huf by other friends and acquaintances, incl. publisher J.M. Meulenhoff; a letter to Emmy Huf-De Beneditty; a typescript text "Jopie is Stervend" by Marsman (copied from "De Vrije Bladen"); a typescript 8-page text "Mr. Know-All" by W. Somerset Maugham, w. corrections in pen; a manuscript booklet "Gedachten van Coos van Hoboken" (actor), 1953; four poems in orig. stapled wr., w. dedication in pen by Van Hoboken; a few legal items concerning B.G. Hinterding ("Eisch: Doodstraf. Uitspraak: 6 jaar tuchthuisstraf"); Henri Bruning ("Interview met een Noordrasmensch") on the German occupation and some other items.

On Isidore Keesing: "Eerste statisticus van het NVV en deskundige inzake werkloosheidsverzekeringen, is geboren te Amsterdam op 21 mei 1876 en omgebracht in het vernietigingskamp te Sobibor (Polen) op 14 mei 1943." (Introd. in the online available Biografisch Woordenboek van het Socialisme en de Arbeidersbeweging in Nederland, listing a very extensive article on Keesing). Paul Huf sr. was a Dutch actor and father of publicist Emmy Huf and photographer Paul Huf.
