Eleanor Antin. 100 Boots postcards
Two original mailed cards from the famous mail art project executed between February 1971 and July 1973, each 11.5 x 17.8 cm, printed b/w. Antin created a series of 51 postcards, featuring 100 black rubber boots photographed at different locations across the United States. The cards were sent to members of the art scene, the completed project was exhibited at MoMA New York. Photography by Philip Steinmetz.

Mild toning to paper, tiny staple hole in top margin, otherwise good. (2) Eleanor Antin. 100 Boots Cross Herald Square. 35th Street & Broadway, New York City. May 13, 1973 8:10 a.m. Sent to Ben Forgey in Washington DC. Postmarked June 6, 1973, but returned to sender, The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Number 47 in the series. The card also served as an announcement for the MoMA Project Series, held from May 30 - July 8, 1973. Diagonal crease to lower left corner, mild creasing to upper left, otherwise good. (total 2)
