Features full-page floral compositions, reproduced on a Rotaprint machine. With contributions by Dieter, Vera and Björn Roth, Jan Voss, Henriette van Egten, Cornelia Hoedeman, Gudrun Hrönn Ragnarsdottir et al. Amazing artists' book with equally amazing story: Tao Kurihara, a designer for the fashion label Comme des Garçons, bought a copy of Paperflowers in an artbook store in Tokyo. In collaboration with Thorkelsdottir, fabrics were designed based on the Paper Flower motifs. Launched at the Spring-Summer collection 2009, it became an instant success, even Michelle Obama was spotted wearing the print. The original edition is long sold out, a facsimile was later published by Boekie Woekie in 2018. Thorkelsdottir (b.1954) is an Icelandic artist who lives and works in Amsterdam. She is co-founder of Boekie Woekie, the remarkable artist-run bookshop, gallery and publisher in Amsterdam since 1986, and a founding member of the Dieter Roth Academy in Basel.

First edition limited to 10 copies, this copy signed and numbered 2/10. Cover by Runa Thorkelsdottir. Cornelia Hoedeman was an Amsterdam-based artist associated with Boekie Woekie, and founder of Fundatie Kunsthuis Amsterdam in the 1980s. (total 2)
