*Impressionist Nussbaum was part of the 'Berliner Secession' group. During the First World War, he was drafted as a war correspondent and created several lithographic prints depicting scenes from the Western Front. He was co-founder of the Frankfurter Künstlerhilfe and taught at the Frankfurter Städelschule where he was fired as a Jew in 1933. He and his wife travelled to Palestine where he passed in 1936.
