Softcover, 24 x 17 cm, 157 pp. Numbered copy 172/600. Features an assemblage of stories from North American Indian tribes centered on the symbol of the eagle, with an epilogue by Johannes Cladders, designed by Walter Nikkels and Lothar Baumgarten. Text in German and English.

Softcover, 30 x 24 cm, 48 pp. Published in conjunction with the show at the German Pavilion during the Venice Biennale 1984. Designed by the artist and Walter Nikkels. Features photographs by Baumgarten taken during his stay with the Yanomami Indian tribe in the Upper Orinoco Region of Venezuela, in 1979. Additional text by Johannes Cladders and Rudi Fuchs in English and German. (3) Makunaima. New York, Marian Goodman Gallery, 1987. Softcover, 32 x 25.5 cm, 36 pp. Edition of 950. Features photographs made by the artist while living with the Yanomami Indian tribe in Venezuela, with the text 'Los Advertidos (1970)' by Alejo Carpentier, translated in English.
