Gouache and pencil on paper, 42 x 29 cm. With handwritten text in top margin 'Wim Beeren Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Nederland', and text line in lower margin reading 'Zulma en Roger Hoevestraat Machelen-Zulte België'. Signed and dedicated on verso 'Voor Wim Beeren, hartelijke 22-12-1992, Roger Raveel'.

The work was created for a liber amicorum compiled to celebrate the museum director's 64th birthday. Roger Raveel (1921-2013) was a famous Belgian painter, whose work is often associated with pop art because of its depiction of everyday objects. Zulma was Raveel's first wife, and favourite model. In excellent condition.
