Amst., the artist, 1929, 4 textp., published in 212 signed and numb. copies (#19 of 200 copies), 6 etchings by Poortenaar, all ca. 15 x 20 cm., all signed "Jan Poortenaar" and numb. "19/200" and "Ets no.1 (- 6)" in pencil, all on Japanese and under passepartout, loose as issued in orig. clothbacked board portfolio, 39.5 x 29 cm. Text bifolium browned in inner margin, fold. flaps browned (all because of offsetting from frontcover). Lower fold flaps torn on fold, outer flap loose. Covers browned/ soiled, cl. splitting at joints. With a very rare prospectus, stating that the deluxe-edition on vellum has already been sold out, listing the price of the portfolio of f. 47,25 (a huge price at the time), and listing var. press reviews, incl. that of the Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant: "Hier heeft de etsnaald die geheimzinnige sfeer geschapen, waarin de steen haar stoffelijkheid schijnt te hebben. Dit is de Boroboedoer zooals de pelgrim hem ondergaat, die onder den ban komt van de indrukwekkende architectuur, waarin de bouwers hun cosmische gedachten hebben veraanschouwelijkt."
